Pilates uses very simple equipment such as mats, resistance bands, small round weights and gym balls.
To get the most out of your Pilates workout you want to invest in all three of these items. The good thing about these items is that the costs are low.
Mats - You want something that’s comfy to practice your workout on, as sitting on the floor for prolonged periods of time can become uncomfortable.
Resistance Bands - These bands come in varying strengths from light to heavy resistance. Buying a pack which contains 2 or 3 bands is best as it allows you to swap about.
Round Weights - These weights vary from around 1 - 3kg and are great for adding an extra challenge to your Pilates workout.
Gym Balls - These large balls are great for enhancing your balance. They come in varying sizes usually from around 50cm - 70cm.
