Compression
Compression fabrics are beneficial because they improve fit without restricting movement. They accelerate blood circulation by applying pinpointed pressure to specific parts of the body. This accelerated blood circulation increases oxygen supply, which means better performance during cardiovascular exercise and shorter muscle recovery time afterwards.
Moisture management
As moisture is created by physical exertion, it needs to be wicked away because it cools the body, leading to discomfort. The combining of an internal hydrophobic fibre with an external hydrophobic fibre creates a push-pull effect, which means that the moisture evaporates on the external layer. Because the moisture doesn’t stick to the skin, comfort and performance are significantly improved.
Thermoregulation
Temperature regulation is important because if your body cools down, the muscles get an insufficient blood supply, and if the muscles don't receive adequate blood supply, performance is hindered and accidents are more likely.
