Totally love it

Totally love it! I've been using it for around a month now and can already feel the benefit. I used to have a really hard time pacing myself which meant I struggled to run for any real distance before collapsing. Since using the monitor I've become much more aware of how hard I'm pushing my body and I'm better able to get what I need from each training session. My mile times are falling too - but I'm taking the credit for that one! The comfort strap is, well, surprisingly comfy (I say this as a lady - hard plastic + boobs does not instant comfort make!) and the watch face itself fits my wrist surprisingly well considering how much technology is packed in there. I've not yet noticed any scratches on the face, but this seems to be a complaint a lot of folk make. I only wear it when I train (4 times a week) but I've not been wrapping it in cotton wool either, so read into that what you will. I found it quite easy to navigate - if you ever get lost in menu's there's a handy escape button which brings you right out. My one criticism would be the volume of the beeps. When you're pounding the street, the wind is blowing, and your lungs are on fire it can be easy to miss the little tiny 'bip-bip' that's telling you that you've leaped into max heart-rate territory (or whatever else you've set it up to do).

It does what it says on the tin

It does what it says on the tin...but seriously the watch (especially black polish) is gorgeous, a little delicate if you're going to use it for everyday wear however. Suunto could have worked a little harder on having a scratch proof face for the watch. Also beware of the straps, not the most durable of the lot and it's hard to get a replacement. Basically they need to work harder on the materials they use for the manufacture of the watch, although people have complained about the interface being complicated I disagree just takes a couple of outings to get used to.

Great piece of kit

Great piece of kit, the new heart rate belt is comfortable and the training effect feature really good and makes you want to push on the the next level. Took a few goes to get used to the menus but now easier enough.
